If an appointment needs to be cancelled or rearranged by us, all patients are given as much notice as possible and an explanation of the reason; for example staff illness, holiday, course enrolment, equipment failure or laboratory work not back. Every effort is made to give as much notice as possible.
If the patient wishes to cancel or rearrange an appointment; at least 24 hours’ notice should be given, by leaving a message on the practice answer machine or phone during working hours.
Failure to do so may lead to a missed appointment fee, this may need to be settled before booking further appointments, as it could lead to other patients who need an appointment urgently having to wait unnecessarily.
Patients who allow us to contact them will get an SMS text message approximately three days before to remind them, every effort is made to deliver these.
All fees charges are at the discretion of the dentist.
Patients who repeatedly fail to attend appointments are monitored and managed.
